Sportsters are popular as never before. One point of criticism is the small reach due to the small tank. Rick’s Motorcycles has a tank for Sportsters in their program which takes 3.5 gallons (13.25 litres). A stock Sportster Forty-Eight takes 2.0 gallons (7.9 litres), so that’s more than 5 litres of additional petrol.
The tank fits onto all EFI Sportster models from 2007 and is a bolt-on exchange tank, which can be installed with little effort. It is simply screwed onto the stock holder; original or other tank lids, petrol cocks or petrol pumps also fit. It features a clean, TIG-welded construction.
