Blue Thunder – Street Bob „Clubstyle“
The FXBBS “Street Bob” is one of the most versatile Harley-Davidson Big Twins – and Rick’s Motorcycles has developed an extensive parts program allowing any “Street Bob” to be customized into a great variety of styles: from Bobber to exciting high-tech Rick’s “Fat-Ass” Customs – or the trendy “Clubstyle” performer! With 95 hp from stock 1.886 cc, the stock engine has plenty of „boiler pressure“ already available, especially when you consider that 155 Nm of torque are already available at 3250 rpm. The “Street Bob” was already a popular stunt and „action“ bike in the “Twin Cam era” – and with the new Milwaukee Eight rolling chassis, the FXBBS has won even more friends.
Rick’s Motorcycles offers an extensive „Clubstyle” customparts program for Touring and M8 Softail models – from “mild” to “wild” there are numerous options to choose from to create an authentic and high-performance “Clubstyle” custom.
“Clubstyle” riders like to ride hard and fast. For optimized performance on the road, Rick’s Clubstyle Risers are the optimum combination of clean look and a maximum of stability: CNC-machined 10-inch high pullback risers clamp the Rick’s Clubstyle Moto Bar “Performance 1” in extremely stable clamps, which also accommodate the stock digital instruments and control lights. The cable extension is clean concealed in hidden cable ducts inside the risers and neatly clamped for secure routing. Matching cable holes in the handlebars – which are elegantly tapered towards the switch housings – are also already machined in place. Rick’s Motorcycles “Good Guys” grips and adjustable hand levers optimize handlebar operation. The visually appealing CNC-machined Rick’s Clubstyle risers are somewhat concealed behind a Memphis Shades handlebar fairing adding to the distinctive “Clubstyle” look. Like the tight-fit Rick’s GRP front fender, painted in the “Blue Burst” color of the stock paint finish. Tiny Kellermann “Atto” turn signals are installed on the established Rick’s Motorcycles brackets: „Clubstyle“ can be clean!
High-quality Rick’s performance is not only installed for the steering: the stock brake discs have been replaced with high-quality Rick’s “Wave” discs – 300 mm in diameter at the front and 292 mm at the rear. The newly developed Rick’s Motorcycles brake rotors are characterized by better improved performance and a extended lifespan. An advantage that is particularly noticeable with a „sporty“ riding style.
Rick’s Motorcycles “Clubstyle” front crash bar for Softail models from 2018-up complete the look – and offer solid protection in the event of a sudden “downfall”! The construction is welded from laser-cut parts and offers extreme stability and numerous other advantages. For example, the crash pads, which are CNC-machined from high-quality aluminum, can be replaced – and are available in different color variants. Rick’s Motorcycles crashbars are available for numerous Harley models in front and rear versions, this Rick’s project only features the front version.
The „full Rick’s package“ is completed by the belt guard with round cut-outs, porthole clutch cover, an axle cover set in “Premium” design, AK 4.7 foot pegs and shifter knob as well as the clean cover for closing the stock turn signal installation point on the fender struts. The license plate base plate is a prototype, but corresponds in form and function to the long time proven Rick’s slide-in license plate brackets featuring Kellermann Atto 3-in-1 indicator/brake- and taillight.
With the Dr. Jekill & Mr. Hyde exhaust system, the Clubstyle Performer gets the right sound to match its hot looks: a Clubstyle conversion where everything is just right. Ready for a hard ride on European roads or to burn some rubber at the next Clubstyle meeting…
