The airbox is placed under a cover on the V-Rod models, where you would normally expect to find the tank on other motorcycles. Apart from the fact that changing the position of the fuel tank under the seat has significantly lowered the center of gravity of the Power Cruiser towards the asphalt, this construction provides room to equip the motorcycle with a new cover design and an optimized look.
Rick’s airbox cover “race” has deliberately been designed with shapes and lines that are evocative of motorsports. Long, deeply drawn beads indicate the air scoops that guide the airflow into the airbox. The openings are closed with a steel mesh, which prevents particle intrusion.
The OEM display instruments fit into the recesses. In addition to the airbox cover and all mounting materials, the scope of delivery also includes a new cover over the air filter body with integrated air routing. Unlike other airbox covers, the original lid of the air filter is reused, it does not have to be cut or removed.
