It’s simply not enough to just upgrade the front wheel size. Wheels that differ from the standard size should also have a triple tree mounted to compensate for the caster.
That is why Rick’s Motorcycles has developed a triple tree for the Softail Fat Boy, the Softail Heritage, and the Softail Slim. It is available in two versions: The four-degree version for wheel dimensions from 21 to 23 inches and the six-degree triple tree for front wheels with a width of 26 inches. Both of them are made for a 42-millimeters fork tube. Screws and bearings are included with delivery.
