With the 2017/2018 model change, Harley-Davidson has shaped the entire Softail family in a new way: new frame, new engine, new suspension, and much more. Rick’s Motorcycles has responded quickly and developed completely new steel fenders for the Milwaukee-Eight Softails.
The slim frames of the Heritage and Deluxe Slim models inspired Rick’s Motorcycles to develop a special fender. The design of the flanks was deliberately designed higher, which ensures a lower optic, even with the standard chassis. Integrated, 8 mm-thick struts provide sufficient stability.
Rick’s Motorcycles offers all the required parts for the rear end conversion of a 2018 Slim as a complete kit at a special price. The kit includes a steel fender, the mounting material, and the matching attachment kit for the tail part.
Each steel fender is manufactured in a low volume production with elaborate handwork and meets Rick’s usual high-quality standards. The frame does not require any changes to mount these Bolt-On fenders.
Rick’s steel fenders for the Slim models, starting from 2018, are designed for rims up to 6” with 200 mm tires.
For the attachment to the bike, Rick’s recommends the stainless steel mounting kit, which consists of four screws that fit into the OEM threads. The screw heads are sunk into elegant, rounded covers, reducing excessive stress on the painted parts and offering a particular clean look.
The kit includes a custom-fit seat base made of fiberglass that matches the fender and the original frame perfectly.
