Sportsters are becoming more and more popular, and not without reason. Harley’s XL models handle by now, apart from various chassis problems, really well. Here Rick’s swingarm strut for Sportsters can help. The team from Baden-Baden has developed a tube construction which stabilizes the almost dainty OE swingarm from the bottom. Afterwards the OE part becomes more rigid, which can be noticed in bends and on uneven terrain.
For mounting the strut, the OE swingarm has to be sent to Rick’s Motorcycles where the strut is then welded together with the swingarm and then newly coated.
If you want to give your Sportster a new wider tire at the same time, you should use this opportunity. Rick’s has developed a swingarm widening kit for Sportsters, which allows tires of up to 240 mm, and all of course also in combination with Rick’s strut.
