The Harley-Davidson Street Glide models are real mile eaters during the grand tour as well as providing fun on bendy mountain roads. If you have this tourer as a CVO variant, you can rest assured that it will also perform well at the next traffic light sprint. With a clever makeover, Rick’s has achieved a look that stands out from the crowd.

Let’s look first at what Rick’s has made out of the CVO Street Glide. The stock color scheme was kept with grey/black with orange stripes. At a second glance you will notice a few serious changes. The front wheel was exchanged for a one-piece forged 23 inch Rick’s wheel. The design of the spoke wheel is called ‘Supersteve’ and can be found under parts on this website. If the front wheel becomes larger, the trail changes as well. In order to balance this out, Rick’s has developed a special 7-degree triple tree, which is being used here. Different tire dimensions always mean that the fender doesn’t fit any longer. Rick’s has his own steel fenders in the program which suit the larger radii.

For completeness sake, we want to mention that at Rick’s brake discs matching the wheel design are also available, which are also being used on this bike. For an upright and clearly more relaxed sitting position, the in-house made touring handlebar was installed, which is offered with a height of 33, 35 or 40 cm.

Looking at the rear now, you will notice that the whole rear was changed on this Street Glide. The conversion kit is called ‘Rick Rod’, which includes the fender as well as the cases. For the perfect finish from the cases to the bike, Rick’s side filler was chosen. A small detail is the license plate holder, which also stems from Rick’s Motorcycles’ program. This is a fully machined aluminum plate with integrated license plate illumination. Hardly noticeable are the indicators, which have been mounted on the right and the left onto the base plate. Since the CVO rear lights as integrated here into the fender are not allowed in Germany, additional Kellermann 3 into 1 indicators were added. On these, brake and rear light as well as the indicators sit in one tiny housing. They have an ECE test certificate and can therefore be used on the road legally.

As already mentioned, this Street Glide is top in all disciplines, in bends, on long motorway journeys, at the traffic lights, and also optically it is a pure delight.
